Eastside Wash House

It’s definitely the cleanest laundromat I’ve ever been to. It uses laundry cards, so come prepared. 4 stars because my load that I washed didn’t spin the water out. They were soaked. I moved to another washer. I didn’t have time to figure out something else.

Eastside Wash House lived up to their high stars review for me today! This is especially thanks to Jamie! She was so friendly, patient, & helpful while navigating me through using the washers & dryers. I had not been here since they changed to laundry cards. I couldn't have done it without her! Also, Jamie obviously takes pride in her work! This location is impeccably clean & very comfortable. The ceiling fans do a great job of keeping the waiting area cool as all the dryers are working as well. I'm so grateful for a safe & friendly laundromat!

The Eastside Wash House Helped Out at the perfect time. I Had Both my washer and dryer go out of service at the same time. The new washer and dryer I just bought can not be delivered until next week. Just when I thought about the load of towels and my work clothes that needed to be washed and dried for this upcoming week, I just assumed I would have to have to go to a laundry mat. But the east side wash house has upgraded to an easier way to exchange money to card use. The washers are newer and faster. I do not come to the wash house often, but I am very happy with Eastside Wash House!

I’ve been using Eastside Wash House in Athens for a while now, and overall, I’m really happy with it! The place is clean, and I can usually get in and out pretty quickly, which is great for my kid and I. They recently switched from coins to a card system, and I picked it up right away super easy to use. In fact, I’ve even helped others figure it out. They recently switched from coins to a card system, and used to, I actually love how easy it is. If you register your card and lose it, they can help you recover it. One time, a machine took my money, and all I had to do was text a picture of my card, and they refunded me right back, super convenient! Plus, there’s usually someone there to help if anything comes up. The only reason I’m giving 4.5 stars instead of 5 is that I wish they had a few more machines or just space really on busy days. But overall, this is my go to laundromat.

So, I have really tried to like this Laundromat, but every experience I have here is a bit more unpleasant than the last. This is highly inconvenient, as they are only located less than 2 mins from my apartment. Instead, I drive several exits down to Milledge, just to avoid the poor experiences I always seem to have here. It is always SUPER crowded, no matter what time of day or day of the week. The staff is aloof and pretty useless. Things are messy and in disarray. I still have them one more chance this evening and I am definitely wishing I hadn't! Tonight, I did a couple of loads and walked over to Ollie's for a quick snack run. There was still a few minutes left on my dry cycle. Admittedly, I didn't take the time into consideration, but I really wasn't forecasting them to close 10 minutes early either. At 8:50pm, I attempted to enter the building to retrieve my clothes and the door was LOCKED when clearly the hours of operation listed on the door state that they are open until 9pm. I banged and banged with no answer. This is unacceptable. Staff should not leave and lock up customers items before closing hours listed EVER. ESPECIALLY when someone clearly has left their belonging
